Welcome to the Math Program.

The Quimby Oak Math Program was launched in 2010. It has grown and reached an annual enrollment number of about 50, last year.

Our mission is to enable students to gain a strong foundation in middle school, and introduce them to various math competitions. We do not provide coaching, rather a forum for students to explore higher level math, and develop critical thinking skills.

This program is coordinated by Sundari Revanur (founder), with help from Swetha Revanur (high school student and alumna of Math Program). In addition to the Quimby Oak program, the team runs a sister program at Carolyn Clark Elementary School.

The program is completely volunteer-run. Since the program reaches more than 50 students, we need your support. We're looking for a parent from every family to proctor contests, hold study sessions, etc. For more information, please visit our 'Volunteer' tab above. This effort has been successful because of the help of our amazing volunteers, procotors, and coaches!

This year, the Math Program will offer:

MOEMS (Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools)

and

AMC 8 (American Mathematics Competition for Eighth Grade and Under).

Students also participate in a variety of other competitions including the MathCounts, inter-school events, and high school level contests.
