MOEMS (Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools)

This year, the Quimby Oak Math Program will be conducting MOEMS.

 

MOEMS is a contest completed over a period of 5 months.

 

Once every month for 5 months, the student will be given 1 question paper with 5 questions to be completed within 30 minutes. The tests are administered on campus and calculators are NOT permitted.

 

Awards are given at the end of the 5 months based on the score out of 25 questions total.

 

Students will take the Division M Tests (problems up to 8th grade level).

AMC 8 (American Mathematics Competition for Eighth Grade and Under)

 

We will also be conducting AMC 8.

 

The AMC 8 Test must be completed in 1 sitting.

 

It is a 25 question, multiple choice test and the students will be given 40 minutes to complete it. The questions increase in difficulty. The tests are administered on campus and calculators are NOT permitted. 

 

The contest covers material up to 8th grade.

 

The contest will be in November after school (on campus).
